             President Buhari Photographer celebrates Children’s day in the Slum.
Bayo Omoboriowo full of smiles 

The 2017 children’s day was a remarkable day for children of the Makoko Community in Yaba Lagos as the Official Photographer of the state house and personal Photographer of President Mohammad Buhari; Bayo Omoboriowo alongside Hundreds of photographers stormed the community to celebrate the children day with the kids.

According to Bayo, it was an opportunity to give back to the society; each children in Adekunle Nursery and Primary school were attached to a photographer who carried them to their home and made a documentary photo shoot and brought them back to school, afterward writes a short love note to the child.

It was a blast as food and drinks were abundantly shared to the kids, the school was painted and the kids played games and had fun. The photographer did not only shoot but cooked and painted.

The event had the presence of founder, slum to school Amb. Otto Orondaam and award winning photographers like TY Bello, Emmanuel Oyeleke, Jide Odukoya, chidi Nwankwo, Dennis, Fortunate Umunname, Johnpeters and many more.
Unabashed is a movement channeled to take children from the slum to the school.

This event is organized by Africa International Trade and Development Trust (AITDT) and this year’s conference is themed “Multiple Frontiers-moving away from oil”. It is scheduled to hold from the 13th to 15th of June at the NAF Conference Center, Abuja FCT Nigeria.

ADEKUNLE GOLD RELEASES HIS FIRST VIDEO AS AN INDEPENDENT ARTISTE - ONLY GIRL FT. MOE LOGO

Award winning urban highlife musician Adekunle Gold has released the music video to his April 2017 single “ONLY GIRL".

The video is his first as an independent artiste, since the expiration of his two year YBNL contract and stars the beautiful Bisi Akins - Miss Nigeria UK 2014- as his love interest.

The video, directed by Moe Musa, captures sights and iconic parts of downtown London with scenes of the London Underground and Adekunle trying to recreating the famous walk of The Beatles in 1969 on the Abbey Road zebra crossing.

Nigerian - London based vocalist Moe Logo who features on the single makes a memorable appearance in the video with scenes of laughter and synchronised dance steps with Adekunle.

The video is warm, colourful and beautifully directed and will leave you loving the song even more.

CASSPER NYOVEST LATEST ALBUM (THUTO) GOES GOLD HOURS AFTER IT’S RELEASE.

South African recording artist and record producer Cassper Nyovest has taken the South African music to another level and has broken all barriers as his latest Album “Thuto” reached its golden milestone in just a day.
While he was in London for the One Africa Music Fest, the South Africa rapper stopped by the BBC Radio 1Xtra studios, where he revealed that his latest album Thuto went gold on the first day of release. Within hours, units of the album were sold and more orders were made on that same day. “So, we actually went gold on the first day" he said on DJ Edu's show. 


The rapper is also optimistic that his album is going platinum and will break more barriers.

                                      MY MUSIC IS A DEPRESSION KILLER SAYS JESSE RAEY





Afro-pop and RnB singer, Jesse Raey, top 8 finalist of Nigerian Idols season 4 recently said that his music is a depression killer. He said that listening to his music was a good way to get off from any kind of depression because his lyrics are highly inspirational and soul-lifting.
Jesse Raey who has been off the scene pursuing his educational career said he is coming back with a big bang and his fans should watch out. The afro-pop singer reiterated that his music cuts across board so the young, old, middle-aged can sing to it and swing to it.
“My song cuts across board and touches all aspects of human life and trust me you can’t listen to my song and not get lifted for it is a rich blend of the many sounds that makes me who I am,” Jesse Raey said.
The singer is currently working on some singles which will drop soon.

 

 

 

ABOUT JESSE RAEY
Jesse Nwachukwu Okonkwo (born March 26), is better known by his stage name Jesse Raey, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, record producer. Jesse Raey was born in the city of Lagos but hails from Anambra state.

At age 19, he formed a two-piece Afro-pop and R&B band “Jaykaycez” in 2008. The band released their first track “Garri” in November 2010 which they performed at the 10th year Anniversary Award Night for Success Digest Magazine/Complete sports Newspaper, raising Jaykaycez profile in the Nigerian music scene. In January 2011, Jaykaycez released another single “The things you do” that found playtime on local radio stations, further increasing awareness of the group.
In 2012, they went solo due to distance and educational pursuits. Jesse Raey then competed in Nigerian idol’s fourth season and emerge top 8 in 2014.

Jesse Raey is a graduate of Lagos state University (LASU) with a degree in Economics.

MEET ADEKUNLE GOLD’S BAND: THE 79TH ELEMENT








Award winning urban highlife singer Adekunle Gold has unveiled his official band –“The 79th Element”- named after the atomic number of Gold.
Gold in its purest form is bright, soft, and malleable. It is one of the least reactive elements, solid under standard conditions and extremely valuable, Adekunle Gold's 79th Element has all of these attributes.
The 79th Element band members are talented and well known musicians in the industry. With their refined skills in music, the band will take Adekunle Gold’s already brilliant stage presence to a different level, competing with anyone across the globe. ABOUT ADEKUNLE GOLD
Kosoko Adekunle popularly known by his stage name Adekunle Gold is a graduate of Lagos State Polytechnic with a degree in Graphics. He is no stranger to music as he wrote his first song at the age of 15. His music career kicked off officially in 2010 when he formed a band called The Bridge with his best friend Seyikeyz. The duo released three songs; No Sleeping on a Bicycle, Norm Breaker which featured Skales and a cover for John Legend's All of Me.
In 2013, Adekunle Gold left his band to debut as a solo act. Having identified his style of music, he released a song titled Let It Stop, a song about peace for the nation.
In 2014, he released yet another beautiful rendition of One Direction's Story of My Life which he titled Sade.  Sade is credited to be the propelling force of Adekunle Gold's career.

             CHIDINMA EMPOWERS YOUTH IN UGANDA
Nigerian award winning artist and songwriter Chidinma paid a three day visit to Uganda aimed at inspiring young people through a reach out project - GetupSpeakOut - organised by Reach A Hand, Uganda, a non profit youth led organization focused on youth empowerment programs with emphasis on #SRHR and HIV/AIDS awareness


The artiste spoke to youth on topics such as drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, rape, and peer pressure at the foundation's 4th Annual Youth Camp dubbed #GetUpSpeakOut which attracted over 600 young people from Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo and Somalia.

She attended the event alongside Emmanuel Ikubese, the lead actor in the award winning TV Series MTV Shuga, after attending an exclusive screening for the premiere of MTV Shuga Down South (Season Five) on Thursday, May 11th at Sky Lounge in Kampala. MTV Shuga is a groundbreaking 360-degree mass-media behaviour-change campaign that aims to improve the sexual and reproductive health of young people. It fuses sexual health messaging with gripping storylines and exploring the issues of sexual relationships between young people.
